This is from aunty Hilary.......     I can't remember her exact age but Clare was definitely on her feet and being her robustly assertive self at this Christmas gathering at the Stafford 'family seat' in Nottingham.   I'd bought her a hobby horse - not something that you would think needed instructions, given it had reins..... however, Clare got the wrong end of the stick, quite literally, and proceeded to swing it around her head with all the enthusiasm of Viking warrior trying out a new axe.  Well we ducked, fast, didn't we?!
